Before putting your boat into winter storage, clean and inspect it so you can identify problems before the next season.
- Clean. Remove sand and salt with fresh water, mild soap and a soft sponge. Avoid harsh cleaners and do not use a pressure washer on the tubes.
- Dry. Check beneath the floor and around the transom. Do not fold or cover a damp boat.
- Inspect. Check the tubes, seams, valves, bottom and transom. If you notice unusual air loss, identify the cause, bearing in mind that temperature also affects pressure.
- Store correctly. Choose a clean, dry place protected from sunlight. Follow the instructions for your specific model for inflation pressure, folding and storage. Ensure ventilation when covering the boat.
